Review:

Didn't catch Sam Wilkinson, heard he was quite good. Jon Amor started solo with some powerful acoustic playing before being joined by his new young band who play with real drive and who followed his complex song arrangements with ferocious attention. This gave him the freedom of the stage and he absolutely soared, playing a mixture of his familiar rocky material and some newer 60s flavoured material with pleasing echoes of Traffic and the like. The quality of his material is always very high and tonight's performance did it full justice. He even did a Hoax number, and it was nice to see this talented player in such an expansive mood. A good night.
